The NCC Org in West Bengal & Sikkim has made a substantial contribution in creating disciplined, trained, confident, well centered adults with a clear moral compass and motivated citizens aligned to our ethos of ‘Nation First’. In doing so, we have contributed meaningfully through many focused social welfare pgmes, harnessing the Power of Youth. The NCC Directorate West Bengal & Sikkim is located at New Alipore, Kolkata. It has six Gp HQs with 54 units, is covering all the districts of West Bengal & Sikkim, spread over 267 colleges and 841 schools with an enrolled str of more than 1,01,278 cdts. The unflinching will, determination, untiring efforts and hard work by cdts and all ranks under effective leadership at all level, made it possible for the West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate to achieve the desired goals with high std and exemplary manner.
Maj Gen US Sengupta is an alumini of NDA and has been commissioned in the Corps of EME on 13 Jun 1987. ADG has done exceedingly well in all of his Army courses including First Division with distinction. ADG has held various Staff, Command and Instructor appointments before taking over as ADG of West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate. ADG has been awarded with COAS Commendation Card and 2 x GOC-in-C Commendation Cards. Assumed the appointment of ADG of West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate after his tenure at HQ Central Command as MGEME.
