World Ocean day event will be celebrated by all NCC Groups & Units of NCC Directorate West Bengal & Sikkim on 08Jun 2022. The aim of the campaign is to create awareness in keeping our Oceans and river free from plastic and waterborne pollution, recycle waste and save our environment.

On 08 July 2022, Governor’s medal ceremony was held at NCC Club House, Kolkata. A total of 56 NCC cadets of West Bengal and Sikkim were felicitated during the ceremony. Maj Gen US Sengupta, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate (WB & Sikkim) presided over the ceremony and gave away the Governor’s medals to all cadets on behalf of Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar. The felicitation ceremony was attended by Cadets, Officers and Permanent Instructor Staff. During his address Maj Gen US Sengupta exhorted the NCC cadets to strive for excellence and tirelessly contribute towards social causes. He informed the audience that the noble values and high ideals imbibed by NCC cadets during their training instills a deep sense of purpose and ownership, as they prepare themselves to shoulder the onerous responsibilities of nation building. He also thanked the Hon’ble Governor for bestowing his blessings to the cadets by presenting them with Governor’s Medal, which will work as an immense motivation for all the cadets to strive for excellence.He also thanked the Department of Higher Education for their continuous support.

THIS DTE TEAM PARTICIPATED IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP WEF 29 Sep 22 TO 06 OCT 2022 AND SECURED 14 th POSN.

200 NCC Cadets along with many Prominent NGOs & Persons like Mr Sushil Poddar(President CWBTA), Mr Honey Bafna & Ms Moubani Sorcar participated in cleanliness drive along the banks of Hoogli river in & around Babu Ghat at Kolkata on 23 Sep 22.

40 Cadets of 4 Bengal Girls Bn NCC of West Bengal Dectorate (APS Sukuna) activity participated in cleaning river banks of Balason river near Painikumari Village, Silliguri on 26 Nov 2022. The Cadets also encouraged the local people to keep water bodies clean and safe.

Cadets of 1 Sikkim Girls Bn NCC, West Bengal & Sikkim Dte participated in Puneet Sagar Abhiyan cleaned the bank of rivers Teesta near Burdong, Singtam, Sikkim on 26 Nov 2022.
