Consequent to the fmn of Uttarakhand State, NCC Dte Uttarakhand was raised at Dehradun on 08 Aug 2006 by the then Hon'ble Chief Minister dof Uttarakhand, Shri ND Tiwari. This event was on historic imp as at the time of est of NCC in Indep India, 16 Circle HQ (later re-designated as Dtes) were created to control NCC activities in the various States and Union Territories of our country and NCC Dte Uttarakhand is the only addl one to be raised post independence. The Uttarakhand Dte was re-organised to be commaneded by a Maj Gen rk offr, Maj Gen Kuldip Singh, VSM** assumed the appt of first Additional Director General wef 14 Oct 2012. With 18 NCC units/sub units NCC Dte, Uttarakhand is resp to org, cont and monitor NCC activities in all the 13 districts of Uttarakhand.At present, the Dte comprises three Gp HQ and 18 units.
Maj Gen PS Dahiya has assumed the appointment of ADG on 18 Sep 2021. Officer was commissioned on 17 Dec 1988 from Indian Military Academy. Officer during his long 33 years of illustrious career has held various important appointments e.g. DAA&QMG , BM of Armd Bde, Col GS (AAT), Armd Bde Cdr and COS in Corps HQ. He was also specially nominated to be part of Indian Training Team at Botswana (Africa).
